Actually.... I am going to retract Tom Horn and go with a series of movies.

Seven Samurai which was the film that "the Magnificent Seven" was based on.
Then Yojimbo and Sanjuro.
Yojimbo was remade as " A fistful of Dollars ".

I loved Dances with Wolves and City Slickers but if we are talking the "classic westerns" then Unforgiven or Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid get my vote.
