His parents are understanding people.... too bad more arent like them and take their screaming kids out of the restaurant we're eating in or the store we're shopping in. My parents would not allow me to throw a tantrum or scream in public, if I started, out we went to the car until I shut up.

After travelling millions of miles (ok maybe hundreds of thousands of miles) by air for business and the horror an infant or child on a plane can be I would have paid double the price for an adults only flight.....the BEST flight I ever took was from toronto to ottawa...no rubbies, no little old ladies, no kids, everyone a professional and we planed and deplaned in under 10 minutes........it was freaking heaven.
Here's my take: I think there should be a minimum age for kids.....something around 8 or 9. If you positively have to because someone will die if you don't take your kid with you on your trip, DRIVE...then only YOU have to put up with your brat......

I had some delta miles (quite a bit) and budget offerred a trade of airline air miles for theirs. I traded. Budget also had a plan where you can buy items with their points so I got a few things (really, can't remember what now lol).

I too would have paid money out of my own pocket when travelling for business to get an adults only flight.
I still remember one flight home from california. I worked 14 days straight, 14 hour days and was exhausted. It was a 747 so I thought ahhhhh smooth flight I can chill.....nope. 1 row up and on the aisle, a mother brought her 5 yr old......first? he would stop fussing and crying cuz, well, what kid likes being cooped up in a seat for 5 plus hours? then the idiot goes and says to the person next to her: I dunno what's wrong, he went to bed early and got up late....WELL DUH FUCKING DUH...you should have kept the kid up until 3 am then he'd sleep through the whole flight...then to top it off, the kid PUKES all over the aisle, the floor, everywhere and the whole plane reeks......for 3 more fucking hours.....JESUS I bet there were 100 people ready to kill that kid. You should have seen the looks on people's faces around the area.....

Flights need to be filled that's the bottom line! My understanding is there are sections now where children and infants cannot be seated.

I can relate to that. Last year I was on a flight to Toronto from Vancouver and the couple next to me had a baby that cried for almost the entire 5 hour flight.

took a flight from London to Charlotte little critter whined all the way.
Grandma was pissed at me as I got on and said Oh Boy this will be a long flight
3 maybe 4 hours into it she was much nicer.
not much we can do other than sleep
