I had a SO once who was really, really good at appearing to be listening when he totally wasn't. I mean, really good at it. I'd walk away thinking we had just had an actual conversation. One day it hit me that I could use this to my advantage...I could tell him that I had previously told him anything I wanted, and he wouldn't know the difference because he knew damn well he never actually listened. I got really good at convincing him he had agreed to stuff. Once I even threw an a very annoyed "I cannot believe we're having this fucking conversation again." ancing:
