Made with Love

Who is watching the World series?

I have watched and played baseball since I was a young kid, and I have always wanted to know something. And watching the game tonight made me want to ask the question, to see if anyone knows the answer.

Ok, so there was a runner for Boston on 1st (Pedroia), and Ortiz at the plate. If Pedroia was on 2nd or 3rd base, or no runners on, they would most likely have intentionally walked Ortiz. But because there was a runner on 1st, they pitched to him. Why wouldn't they still intentionally walk Ortiz, even though there is a runner on 2nd? That part of the game I never understood

It's likely matchup and %, and also depending on the score and time of the game. You can't give the guy a free pass all the time, but would also need to be smart as to when you want to chance him hurting you and when you don't even want to chance it at all.

It certainly won't be easy for the Cards to win back to back games in Boston. However, Boston was able to win back to back games in St. Louis after the big Obstruction Loss - winners find ways to win despite tough circumstances. We'll see if the Cards have it in them, and if they don't, then Boston deserves it.

Looks like it' Bostons'

Shit too bad. Two innings two go and doesn't look good for STL.

Whaddya mean "shit, too bad"? :)

Look on the bright side there have been tragic losses for Boston in game 6s.

3 out!

BOSTON WINS THE WORLD SERIES, THIRD TIME IN A DECADE. DYNASTY?

Winning at home is fun for the crowd!

Something TML fans will never know!:biggrin2:

Ice cold beer, Ice in their drinks, probably some ice in Boston harbour.

From worst to first goes BOSTON, why couldn't John Farrell do that last year with the Blue Jays?
