Who's pickier, men or women?

Which sex is more selective when picking romantic partners? I'd say men are more pickier just because I think most men are a bit shallow and tend to go for looks before anything else whereas women tend to look at the whole package.

So that would make women more picky because they look for more variables no?

Depends what you're referring to... Generally speaking:

Men are more picky about superficial things, e.g. looks, figure, BMI, ass to hip ratio, etc.

Women are more picky about emotional things, e.g. how he makes her feel...

Pickier is just euphemism for not compromising expectations.
