Are you still reading this? Well here you go: Apparently "boobs" sprung to life in the 1930s.. From the word "booby", no not like tits, but like you right now, you ignorant boob. Booby was a slang term at the time.
It's speculated that the word "booby" is derived from the spanish "bobo" which roughly means dunce. A booby trap is a trap for fools, a boob-tube is an idiot box, boobies could possibly be something that stupifies men and/or women.

Another theory is that boobies came from the word bubby, which was translated from the german "bübbi" which means teat, although its not thoroughly supported through written document. Some people go on and on about how in Latin it turns to "pupa" which means little girl, with no real evidence of anything in history.
