doesn't have to get boring at all. I've been with the same guy for 14 years and our sex life is probably better than it was in the first year together. The more you're willing to ask for, and the more you're willing to do, the better it is and it's more comfortable asking and doing with/for/to a person whom you trust completly.

I agree, sex doesn't have to get boring after 1 2 10 or more years. It's what you're willing to do to make it continually enjoyable.

Now with that being said the longest it's been for me is 6 yrs and I tell you, for me, sex on the last day was as great as it was on the first.

I think the major problem with couples is that (and I know it's not all their fault) but men and women use sex for different things. It is widely accepted that women use sex to get a guy, children etc and after they have that? They lose interest. I have experienced that first hand and it is a common complaint among married men (that they basically have to beg for a little something something).

I think open communication and being open to new things would make sex with the same person more enjoyable over the long haul......

I dont' believe that at all. I love sex and initiate it probably more often than my husband does.

Maybe women, after having children, get tired and feel unappreciated and that turns them off but when rested and happy we have just as many urges as men do.
After my kids were born there was a time when I didn't want it at all but that's with being up all night with babies and never sleeping more than 2 hours at a time. Once they got a bit bigger it all came back. Now, I'm the one on this website and he isn't. The longer we're together the better our sex life is. The more confortable you are with your partner the more willing you are to try different things and the more you trust them the more willing you are to communicate your wants/needs/desires.

Maybe if the wife (wives) you're talking about got more appreciation for the cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and other boring never ending jobs she (they) do and even a little help with them they'd have more energy for sex and be more passionate in general. There have been times that I've gone out for the day on a weekend and get home and he's cleaned the whole house top to bottom and I'll tell you when that's not hanging over my head the sex at night is amazing 'cause I'm not overwelmed with what I have to do the next day and I find myself more attracted to him because of the help.
(I'm sure some out there do help and show appreciatiion....obviously I'm talking in very general terms)

A couple very good points being made in this thread.

1. Spice it up anyway you can
2. Be willing to experiment & try new things
3. Datenight!
4. Keep the romance alive- flowers, small thoughtful gifts here and there. Little things MATTER in this case.
5. Help around the house, cooking, cleaning etc.
6. Sex vacation (coming up in a couple weeks! )
7. Add a 2nd woman for a 3-way! (If she's into that sort of thing of course... :shock
