My mother, who is now approaching 80, would have given up long ago if she wasn't looking after two dogs...they make her get up and move around, provide love, and also security. Personally, my last dog got me through some really rough times by simply not letting me feel sorry for myself. I'll never be without a dog, or stop supporting rescue agencies.

Cats are my therapy of choice, but I don't have any due to many clients having allergy issues.

If dogs purred and used a litter box on their own, they would be a perfect animal.

I have seen this thread when I was lurking and wanted to say hey lots of good stuff here.

I am on the second day of wearing a nicotine patch. Last night I puffed on a cigarette and it tasted horrible. I tried again today and it still tasted horrible. Odd that the enjoyment of the flavor would go away so fast. So, 36ish hours on the patch and I haven't really smoked any more. Let's see if I can keep this up.

OMG Prim0 - that's fantastic! :YMAPPLAUSE:

I encourage you to keep posting about it here, so we can support you!

/-Thumbs-up::/

Thank you. I gotta say, the patch is making it seem easy so far. I barely have any kind of craving during the day and I think it's only the habit of doing it that makes me reach for a cigarette in some situations. I'm trying to curb that or replace the habit by playing with my junk...it's pleasurable and just about as popular as smoking in public. :biggrin2:

:rofl!:

Forgot to put on my patch this morning before leaving for work....had a few puffs on the way in to work and hoping I can get by until the end of the day. :Crying2:

You may think about trying the gum.

That way you can leave a pack at work for just such an emergency.
