Why magic mushrooms should be considered medicine.

Very beneficial for some. Used within the right environment with the right mind set they certainly can generate the divine within

It does have it's purpose but gets abused way too much by addicts.

Psychedelics are not addictive as our bodies develop resistance to them within 48 - 72 hours. So after the second day you take them, there is no perceptible effects. Opioids however, are a different story; easily abused and one simply needs to increase the dose to keep the high.

There are two ways to use psychedelics; the first is microdosing which is consuming a small amount every 4 days and
is currently being researched at Berkley and anyone can participate by contacting them.

The second is hero dosing which is a 3gm or more dosage at one sitting and repeating the process every 5 to 8 weeks. Hero dosing requires a more researched approach imo; understanding your state of mind and your environment play a key role in the endeavour. Hero dosing research is being conducted at Johns Hopkins and Bellevue Hospital in NY. Both methods are incredibly effective for managing depression, anxiety, ptsd and other issues.

I've done hero dose resets with amazing results. I also use microdosing to manage my ADD when I have to sit for periods of time studying or reading. I'm a huge supporter of proven alternative medicines to treat emotional/mental health issues. There are so many viable options that don't come with a black box warning like allopathic methods.
