I cheat cause my wife has much less sex drive then I do... tried everything to solve the problem... am enjoying this solution way more than the other solutions.

A marriage counsellor suggested "date nights" so this evening I took her to an opera and a nice dinner... still no sex... but we had a good time.

Thanks Diggler, it was 45 mins, so I'll look forward to watching it at another time. But from my meetings with various coupled gents, I'd say some do it for the thrill, some do it because their spouse/partner, isn't interested anymore and some do it because they can. No one particular reason, and too many too generalize, imo.
