Reports claim authorities hoped to avoid anti-immigrant backlash

STOCKHOLM (ChurchMilitant.com) - Swedish police are being accused of covering up mass sexual assaults allegedly commited by migrant males.
Stockholm newspaper Dagens Nyheter is reporting that multiple young girls were molested by groups of young migrants at a festival last summer. The paper claims police failed to report the assaults until they recently broke the news, resulting in a whirlwind of speculation that authorities purposely neglected to make the incidents public to prevent anti-immigrant backlash.

The newspaper goes on to accuse the police of neglecting to inform the public before the August festival that multiple assaults had occurred at the prior year's carnival in 2014. A memo obtained by Dagens Nyheter indicates police knew of the potential threat of assault at the 2015 festival, as they acknowledged issues the previous year "with young men who rub themselves against young girls." The memo notes the majority of perpetrators were migrants.

The "We Are Sthlm" festival — using the postal abbreviation for Stockholm — is aimed at teenagers and takes place in a variety of locations within the city. Dagens Nyheter claims a combined 38 reports of rape and sexual molestation at the 2014 and 2015 festivals. Despite this, the Stockholm police website reported after the August carnival that there had been "relatively few crimes and few arrests given the number of attendants."

"We should certainly have written and told people about this, no doubt. Why it did not happen I do not know," claimed police spokesman Varg Gyllander.
He assured the press that police will look into why the public was not warned.

This is xenophobic crap and I'm seriously ashamed it has been posted on this board.

I'm a native French speaker. There is nothing in the first video narration that mentions anything about Muslims or Arabs. The middle one is footage of some movie, completely irrelevent. The last is a bunch of tweets coupled with some graphic images.

How many of you have Muslim co-workers? Friends? How many come from war-torn parts of the world, be it the middle east, Europe, SE Asia? Do these people want to rape or harm you? Use you f'ing brains! This thread serves no purpose but to satisfy some wanker agenda.

None of those were "refugees", they were all local hoodlums, living there for all of their lives. You just have to listen to their French, no accents. Whether they were Muslim or not is unclear. There's no point in trying to stir up anti-refugee bigotry, we don't fall for that sort of xenophobia here in Canada. :no:

As for the right to carry guns, you do realize that those same hoodlums would also have the right to carry guns too, right? That guy would then be quickly outnumbered again.

I always question the probability of having a video camera filming wen these incidents are recorded.

While this is well done it is still likely fake.

Putting your hand on you hip to indicate you have a gun will pretty much so get you hit by the bat.......You draw the gun and kill the attacker to fend him off.
Before you up and run out to get a gun. Ask yourself ARE YOU CAPABLE OF KILLING SOMEONE TO PROTECT YOURSELF OR OTHERS? If your answer is anything but without question, do not get yourself a gun......it will only end up on the street in the hands of your attacker.


As for the argument that if you were granted the right to carry a gun....Thugs too would be granted that right....That is BS........Thugs and criminals do not need legal permission to carry a gun.

Not quite.........it is easier for the average person to get a legal one because they do not travel in the circles where guns and drugs are the norm.

In a lot of street gangs, they may only have 1 or 2 guns, and each member of the gang "rents" these guns for specific operations like robberies and stuff. These are called "community guns", and they have to be returned to their proper places just like checking a book out at the library and returning it.
