I'd want to hear from a whole lot of people who used it safely before I tried it. I'd be worried they could hack my phone and wipe out other stuff too and I'm sure someone will find a way to do it.

Why would it?, all it does is hide your own personal texts and email.

Think of a provider who is being stalked and has text messages saved for evidence. With this app he can remove his messages from his and her phone. I agree, it's creepy. Just the mistrust that exists that makes you feel you need it, is unsettling.
