Forgive her or send her to jail?

When asked by police why she murdered Guilherme - 19-year-old Leticia told police that he s*xually assaulted her when she was a child.
This makes us think about Cyntonia Brown. The teenager was given a 51-year prison sentence for the first-degree murder of 43-year-old estate agent Johnny Allen - a man who abused her as a child and trafficked her around the country.

We wonder if the judge who oversees her case will take her alleged abuse into account? Hmmmmmm

First I didn't see anyone say she should get off but if a TO cop can say that weed made him assault two people with a bat, and that can be used in sentencing, I can't see why former abuse can't be used.

I don't believe that is the case here, I think she was fighting with her baby daddy.

I wouldn't defend the weed use or anything else. If you do the crime, you need to be prepared to do the time.

A litle closed minded in my opinion. Sometimes there are circumstances that can play into sentencing. Some are acceptable, some are not.

Guilt and sentencing are two different things.

A man stabbed another caught in his mother's bedroom when he came home from the movies with his GF. He was charged with aggravated assault, he was found guilty and given no sentence. There circumstances surrounding the "crime" should be considered.

At at least in my opinion.

Again - I think in this case she is full of it and stabbed him because he was he ex, her baby daddy and they fought over something. She lost it and now should do the time.

Some do not care about the law and what is right or wrong. You see a chance for revenge, you take it.

Maybe it's different there in Canada. To take care of the different circumstances we have different crimes. Murder in the 1st, 2nd degree.....manslaughter....etc.

Some things are different. In the US, the guy could have shot the intruder and not been charged at all.
