Not really. Sadly it's a good example of social engineer and putting a person in a risky situation. The "gut" reaction for most would be "what fucking idiot did this" and jump out of the car to get it. The con artist staged this to play on emotion. The reaction is emotional and immediate & those type of reacts shut down logical thinking.

These scenarios are what people don't put much thought in to and do exactly what it's intended to do, the victims reacts.

There was "a thing" back in the 90's (I believe) in the states where they would target tourists by plate origin or rental cars by plate frame (advertising the rental firm). The car would bump you from behind and you would naturally, pull over and the perps would rob you. Rental car companies started to take all identifying badges and plate frames off their cars to help alleviate this. Tourism dropped in areas such as Florida. People would not stop if hit from behind etc etc etc...

You all remember when I few cases were recorded that thieves would lightly rear end a car and once the driver gets out to check for damages they rob them and force them to get into their homes?.

Well thanks, but not really. It's just part of my job & over time has become how I think. Sounds cool and all but I live in a world of paranoia & I often look for the worst in people. And when I see something I think "how can I exploit this".

These type of con-men are exploiting "routine". Routine is vital to humans but allows them to action things without thinking and that's a perfect conduit to exploit a person. Even in cyber security the weakest link is the human. Generally women are more in tune with potential danger though. That's because they're the physically weaker sex & they nurture children so they are generally more cognizant of threats. That's something us males (pooners or not) often forget. We might perceive our actions as confidence yet the female may feel very threatened by them. We do a poor job putting ourselves in the mindset of the female. For men, our biggest weakness is often that confidence. We're cocky and we imagine we're infallible. It's like a Mac computer user. They feel like they can't get a virus. Oh but they can and their own arrogance makes it so much easier to exploit them.
