The article summed it up pretty well. Everything was on track until about ten days before the event, when the organizers emailed everyone to say that the host hotel had cancelled all the events, so they were all moved. Orgy to Erotic Heritage museum, pool parties to Sapphire and Artisan, etc. So fine, we were going anyway, we cancelled our reservation at that hotel.
We have been to the Erotic Heritage Museum (for nude yoga), and it is a museum, hard floors and glass display cases. No way an orgy is happening there with 1,000 people.
The swinger event started, the first pool party was at Sapphire Strip Club, it was pretty good, though swingers and dancers are not always a great combination. Mrs CD got mistaken for a dancer by some dudes there for a stag, she appreciated that.
Then the next day, the organizers emailed again, the pool parties were now to be at Risque Vegas, a house based swinger club. And the orgy was moved to Green Door, a large, slick swinger club. And the seminars and things were cancelled.
So we went to the orgy at Green Door, it was in the afternoon. It wasn't really structured, it was just people having sex in a sex club. Which is not a bad thing, it was pretty packed, maybe 300 people, which it more than you would generally get in a swinger club during the day. We had sex in the "orgy room", ironically we were the only ones in it at the time. But it was a good time.
I am not sure if we would do another event put on by these people. They were nice, the people we met were pleasant, and we had a good time. But there was a pretty wide gap between what they promised, and what they delivered.
