Hell, I remember my OAC chem teacher telling us how to make basic, albeit unstable, TNT. Just prior to finals, a couple of guys decided they'd try making it. They left it in 'the drying box' (I can't remember what it's called) and forgot about it. One of the custodians had finished cleaning the room, and the door swung shut behind him....The click of the door closing was enough to set off the TNT and it blew the door off the box. I don't even think they got a talking to about that....

I agree the charges are a bit heavy handed.

I recall my HS chem project.

Handed in my prelim outline.
Teacher read it and asked me if I knew what I was proposing.

Couple of days later he told me I would receive an A on the project and forbid me from making it.

I asked him if I had gotten the process right and he looked at me and said "Take the A"

I remember in Chem. Class the teacher asked this guy up...told him to smell
one bottle ....which he did ...then told him to smell the other bottle which he
did, then he fell to the floor coughing....

The Teacher then asked the class what we learned....well we were all laughing
at the guy on the floor....So the Teacher said....Do Not Smell Things....If You Do Not
Know What They Are......Now does anybody want to come up and taste something....
The class went quiet.......
