A female craigslist killer, too? No wonder Craigslist stopped all adult advertising in the US! They're all fucked up down there. But why stop it in Canada?

A soldier who hid in her car to avoid saluting the flag — and then flaunted it on Instagram — is the latest service member to come under attack via social media and be accused of dishonoring her service.

Pfc. Tariqka Sheffey, whose Instagram handle is “sheffeynation,” posted a selfie with a caption that reads:

“This is me laying back in my car hiding so I don’t have to salute the 1700 flag, KEEP ALL YOUR ‘THATS SO DISRESPECTFUL/HOWRUDE/ETC.’ COMMENTS TO YOURSELF cuz, right now, IDGAFFFF.”

The image was distributed via Facebook and also sent to Army Times. Angry service members, Gold Star mothers and spouses have called for the soldier’s removal from service.

“Any soldier who refuses to salute the flag is in the military for the wrong reason, and should be removed by dishonorable discharge with loss of all benefits,” one Facebook commenter said. “If they won’t salute it, they damn sure won’t fight for it.”

Sheffey is a member of the 59th Quartermaster Company, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, at Fort Carson, Colo., post spokesman Dee McNutt confirmed Tuesday.

When asked if an investigation was underway, McNutt said, “The chain of command is aware and looking into the situation. That’s really all I can say at this point.”
McNutt said Fort Carson learned of the photo after receiving a number of complaints.

The online outrage has quickly turned to hate, with a torrent of abusive comments, racial slurs and threats being made against the young soldier.

Sheffey responded with a video on Instagram on Tuesday and expressed regret. But she stopped short of apologizing for her actions:
“I seriously just want to say thank you to everybody who stood up to me today, like seriously. That s--- to me was not that serious. I am not a disrespectful soldier and I really appreciate you all.”

Attempts to reach Sheffey for comment via email were not immediately successful.

This marks the third time in less than two weeks in which a photo of service members has sparked controversy on social media. Several National Guard members have been suspended from funeral honors detail in light of a photo showing them comically posing around a flag-draped casket during training. An investigation is ongoing.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Cherish Byers is also the subject of an investigation, after a three-year-old photo of her tongue-kissing a Prisoner of War-Missing in Action symbol went viral.

When you go to a museum there are basically two rules: 1) Try to look like youre cultured 2) Dont touch or destroy things. One guy was captured on video doing the latter, smashing a $1 million Ai Weiwei vase at a Miami museum as a form of protest.

According to reports, the vase dropper is 51-year-old Maximo Caminero, a local artist who destroyed the vase as a show of protest towards the museums preference towards featuring foreign artists.

Caminero faces criminal mischief charges that could land him up to five years in prison. He claimed he didnt know the vase was 7,000 years old or worth such a substantial amount of money. On the one hand, hes a complete asshole for destroying something because his art isnt good enough to get into this museum. On the other hand, its pretty badass that he got to destroy a $1 million vase and would only get five years for it. That implies his time is worth $200,000 a year, which is pretty high praise for a guy whose most prominent museum display had to be sadly cleaned up by a confused janitor.

Imagine 13 and 14-year-old girls being instructed to ask one another for a lesbian kiss in a class exercise. The girls had no choice. The parents were NOT informed. But hey, if it falls under “anti-bullying,” than who are you to question it, right?
Heather Clark over at Christiannews.net reports this alarming development:
MIDDLE-SCHOOL-GIRLS-FORCED-TO-ASK-CLASSMATES-FOR-%E2%80%98LESBIAN-KISS%E2%80%99-DURING-ANTI-BULLYING-PRESENTATION.jpg
Red Hook, New York –
A recent anti-bullying presentation at a middle school in New York that focused on homosexuality and gender identity has angered parents after their daughters have come home to tell them they were forced to ask another girl for a kiss.

According to reports, the session occurred last week at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, New York, near Poughkeepsie. A group of students from Bard College led two workshops for the youth, separated by gender.

During the workshop for girls, the 13 and 14-year-olds were told to ask one another for a lesbian kiss. They were also taught words such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”

Parent Mandy Coon told reporters that her daughter was very uncomfortable with the exercise.

“She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough; now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” she lamented.

Coon stated that she was especially irate over the matter because parents were given no warning about the presentations, nor an opportunity to opt out. She is also dismayed that college students were granted the right to come into the classroom and encourage her daughter to be sexually active.

“I am furious,” she declared. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”

“The school is overstepping its bounds in not notifying parents first and giving us the choice,” another parent remarked. “I thought it was very inappropriate. That kind of instruction is best left up to the parents.”

According to reports, during the workshop for the adolescent boys, the students were counseled to keep a condom in their pocket at all times, and were taught how to identify a woman who is a “slut.”

“I was absolutely furious – really furious,” an anonymous parent told reporter Todd Starnes. “These are just kids. I’m dumbfounded that they found this class was appropriate.”

However, both the school principal and the district superintendent are defending the workshops, and are advising that they will schedule more. Superintendent Paul Finch told the Poughkeepsie Journal that the presentation was “focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.”

“[We] may require more notification to parents” in the future, he said, contending that the sessions are required under the state Dignity for All Students Act, which prohibits harassment and bullying in the classroom.

He advised that Principal Katie Zahedi and guidance counselors at the school worked with the Bard students to plan the workshops. Zahedi asserts that the sessions were rather about saying no to unwanted advances as opposed to encouraging homosexual acts.

“In planning the discussion, we made it clear that absolutely no discussion of any sexual acts is appropriate to middle school, and they used the examples of a kiss,” she wrote in an online forum for parents. “It was a separate activity for boys and girls and ultimately about respect and safety.”

Mark Primoff, a spokesman for Bard College said that students had volunteered to give the presentation after Zehedi invited the institution of higher learning to participate in the workshops.

However, parents remain livid over the matter. A public meeting was held this week for residents to express their concerns.

It is not known whether girls actually had to kiss one another, or if the exercise stopped at the request.

Yes Stand Up For the Truth (if you can't do that then make shit up).
Odd name for that website.
This is one of those bullshit right wing stories trying to make news where there is none.

Please people...pleease...when a story sounds like it has a slant, it's because it does.

Press release from the RedHook Central Schools
Important Facts:
- Contrary to a few media reports, female students were not forced to engage in any “lesbian kissing”.
- Contrary to a few media reports, male students were not told to carry condoms.
- Contrary to a few media reports, sexual activity among young adolescents was not condoned or promoted in any way.

This information had been shared with the media, but was not reported by some. We encourage all
community members (and non-community members) to make informed judgments.
Additional Background:
During the week of April 9, eighth grade communication sessions were held at Linden Avenue Middle
School. These sessions were designed by building leadership and the guidance department. The goals of
these sessions were to encourage students to treat one another (and all marginalized groups) with more
respect as well as to further develop an appreciation for personal dignity.

In response to parental concerns about these sessions Dr. Zahedi, the middle school principal, held an
evening informational forum on April 16. This session was well attended and the subsequent feedback
has been positive. In addition, the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools, Paul Finch,
addressed the community at the April 24 board meeting on the topic of these sessions. Here again,
feedback from the community and students was overwhelmingly positive.

Are people that stupid or they just don't have anything better to do?.

A 19-year-old San Bernardino County woman has been arrested for pointing a laser at an aircraft, officials said Tuesday.

Jenny Gutierrez was arrested on Feb. 27 around 10:50 p.m., sheriff’s officials said.

A sheriff’s patrol helicopter was flying over the 15 Freeway in Hesperia when it was struck multiple times with a laser coming from a movie vehicle.

“Both the pilot and flight officer were temporarily blinded by the laser beam,” authorities said.
The helicopter crew followed the car and directed deputies to its location.

“Deputies quickly identified a female passenger in the vehicle as being involved with the incident. They also located the green laser which was used to target the helicopter,” said officials.

Gutierrez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. If convicted, she faces more than $260,000 in fines and up to five years in federal prison.

They probably don't think they'll get caught. Flash the laser, then go blend into the neighborhood.

It happens with appalling frequency!
