Yet another reason to poop on Blackberry

Here's a video showing how BB10 is going to look and work:

I am so tempted to go to IPhone but its keyboard isn't that great as Blackberry's. Yet iPhone has many more options.

Thanks for the vid Blackram!

For sure BB10 looks like a sweet platform. It def reinforces my view that BB is easier to navigate than iOS. I love the sleep mode, alarm setting, etc.

I'm also very skeptical of the touchscreen. I've just had too many bad experiences with BB touchscreens being inaccurate.

But....how is any of that a game changer? It would be enough for me to stay with BB if I was already with BB. But I don't see why I would want to switch platforms.

NOTE: RIM stock has lost nearly all of its gains in the past four months as a result of a tech analyst report saying that BB10 is neat, but it will be DOA.

Imagine that...having freshly washed balls 24/7. I would be in heaven.

btw, totally ran out the battery on iphone last night (stuck in a monster traffic jam downtown). I have an apple charger in my car...but not for the friggin' Lightening plug! Dammit.

It took me 2 weeks at least to get my new BB battery. My 1st one since I got my Torch.

RAWD, why don't you just call BB/RIM and talk to customer service to see if they'll extend your subscription until you decide about the BB10.

I doubt we'll know if it's going to be a game changer until they actually start selling it. But it's not necessary to be a game changer anyways. All it needs to be is competitive. And as I said, it'll be able to run all apps that are made for Android (or iOS eventually). So basically they can stop bleeding their own customers, and eventually they can gain new customers who will find it easy to move to BB because it'll be much like Android or iOS already.

Stop the bleeding I agree. Gaining or regaining customers is why I think bb10 needs to be a game changer. RIM needs to give ppl a reason to change to BB

I think if it is a good phone, does everything the iphones do and some better, and the fact that it isn't an apple product, that would be enough for me to change.

I don't get the brand loyalty to apple products...they could put the apple logo on a turd and the lemmings would buy it.....

Goes both ways. I was a BB lemming for 10 years.

not really a good analogy, since BB hasn't really been putting out "the latest and greatest" products like apple....

The thing that makes apple stand out is the fact that even though their products do have issues, the lemmings will argue to the death that they don't.....AND will swear by it. Under oath.....under threat of death.

I mean, iphones are/were notorious for calling up the local server and checking for OS updates, even when you're overseas....one article in the paper was about a guy who got an iphone, then the next week went to europe for 2 months....never turned it on. Yet got hit with a cellphone data bill for $12000.00....seems apple forgot to "tell" customers this.

Just like the recent rendition that will select either wifi or cellular whichever signal is strongest.....and people have been getting hit with gynormous bills.....

There's a few guys at work who have them and when I cite examples of contractors with iphones and them being extremely fragile, they say "no they are NOT" and promptly show me the rubber sided, armor plated protective case they had to buy for $70.00...then I show them my nokia.....no case and it's been dropped from the top of an 8 foot stepladder.....I know....4....5...? people who have cracked the screen after dropping them 24 inches onto a carpeted floor.....but nope, they're NOT fragile goddammit ........lemmings.....

I had to argue with Bell Mobility who cut our company's bill on two phones in half for 'background data roaming' on our Blackberries. They should warn us to turn off data roaming before going on a trip (especially since I got a voice roaming package and discussed the merits of a data roaming package which I declined cuz I wasn't going to browse or open emails).

Actually you can set roaming data to either prompt you or turn it off entirely on Blackberries.

RIM leaks out more features...

Most of it sounds superfluous (who cares about an app wheel). But, the free voice calling over wifi via bbm is definitely worth considering. ....

apple has facetime that does that and it's with video

Im still a BB guy and always will b as long as they have a real k/b, can't type 4 the life a me on those touchscreen k/bs; I read sumwhere the next BB will come in both flavours so they still have my vote

I also played around with a playbook and found the OS was not as intuitive as apple's iOS....took sum gettin used 2 but in the end I thought the iOS was easier 2 navigate out of the gates

Agreed. I'm still cursing as I type on my iPhone after nearly 2 months. I miss my qwerty keyboard.

I abhorred the playbook touchscreen, but while the iOS is more intuitive the PB nav is more flexible

I switched to apple a while back and it did take me a while to get use to typing on the screen. I will say I would never go back or change my iphone.

I've travelled and turned my roaming off and have never had any over billing issues.

What if you cant turn off data? I use one phone for work/personal
