Tom Hanks as Sherman McCoy in Bonfire of the Vanities. Still far too boyish to play a "Master of the Universe."

Of course everybody was miscast in that movie. It deserves an award of its own for worst casting decisions ever.

• Tom Hanks as a cutthroat bond trader?
• Melanie Griffith as a hot latina chicana?
• Bruce Willis as a slimy British tabloid reporter?
• Morgan Freeman as a Jewish judge?

Plus the movie desecrated the book. Tom Wolfe must still have nightmares.
