Made with Love

Your Mother ever go on strike?.

My Mother went on strike every Sunday. It was her rule and we had to do the chores. It kept us from getting beat up.

My mother never went on strike! She was the CEO and delegated all responsibilties to her subordinates.

My mother use to cook all day. She would wake up at 6am. cooking, cleaning and laundry. She would smile proudly watching me devour a big plate of pasta al forno. Ah, those were the days! Now my wife tells me make yourself or no you're too fat dear:grrrrrr:!

My ex-girfriend was the same way. She used to surprise me with lasagne and my favorite beer....while she pransd around in slutty heels and lingerie.

But, one day she used the wrong cheese in the lasagne and she forgot my beer.

Sent her to the Emergency room with a broken jaw and she also fell down the stiars.

She was a real trooper though. 7 weeks later she apoagized for ruining my night.

You're full of shit! Tell the truth, it was you who ended up in the hospital for telling her she burnt the lasagna!

Yeah, back to the story for a second, but the mom hit the nail on the head "she was doing them a dis-service" by catering to them.....

I know I know, I've never had kids but I tell you, from the moment they would have been old enough to look after themselves, they'd be doing so.

A buddy of mine lived with a woman who had twins, boy and a girl. WHen they were...14 (I think) the girl would: get up in the morning, put on something to eat breakfast with. Take those clothes off, put on school clothes. Come home from school, put on something different to laze around the house and have dinner in, then she'd go upstairs, change into something else until bedtime....basically a load of laundry a day.

Then her mom caught her pulling things out of her closet, trying them on, then putting them in a pile on the floor, for laundry...she hadn't even worn it yet...

She just thought the laundry fairy came and made all her clothes clean again...

I seem to recall they gave her a laundry bag.....with a limit of 1 load per week. WHen the bag was full, no other clothes were going to be washed....

I also remember some of those scared straight programs....a LOT of the kids had rooms that looked like pigstys....and to a one, the parents said "I keep harping on her to clean up her room but she doesn't and I eventually do it because I can't stand the stink/mess..." well, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that the kids aren't stupid......they know eventually you'll do it.....the trick is, NOT TO DO IT

In the case in the story, with the food dishes at least, I'd give everyone 1 plate, 1 saucer, 1 knife/fork/spoon and 1 glass. Every meal would be eaten on those same pieces...if they weren't clean? Then either no food for you or it got served on the dirty plate.

Now the kids were only 10 and 12 but the 12's were certainly old enough to know better.....

Thank God I don't have to call you Daddy!LMAO

I was raised by my Nanny. I never once saw my Mom lift a finger to clean or cook anything. We ate out tons.
