First rule of robbing: PROTECT YOUR GODDAMN IDENTITY. It is really that simple. Provided that your plan is to actually get away with the crime and not spend the better part of your life behind bars.
Apparently no one ever relayed that crucial message to 24-year-old Abigail Lee Kemp, because when she was robbing jewelry stores throughout the southeast, she made virtually no attempt to conceal her identity. Look at her in action on the surveillance footage of her robberies. So carefree. As if the law doesn’t apply to criminals who are kind of pretty.
Abby. Sweetheart. Are you suffering from a brain injury? Why would you ever think it would be in your best interest to not only enter the store unmasked, but to not properly prepare for the presence of cameras? And you did it on more than one occasion. I’m concerned about your mental health, because this kind of behavior is just asking to get arrested, which is exactly what happened to you!
I’m torn on whether Kemp is brazen, stupid, misguided, or a lethal combination of all three. The whole “failure to cover her face” thing leads towards stupid/misguided/potentially brain dead, but the fact that she held these people at gunpoint and then tied them up while she robbed them blind is really pointing me towards brazen as well.
Ah well, it really doesn’t matter what she is because she’s going to spend her foreseeable future in prison. Good news for her is that at least she’s kind of hot so she definitely won’t have trouble hooking up
