Feminism is about EQUALITY and recognizes that both genders suffer due to our cultural constructions of being male and and being female. It DOES NOT mean women should overpower men and does not equate to hating men at all. It is also a continuously evolving theoretical idea that is always changing the more research and study done in this field.

I strongly suggest watching this documentary which is very well done and deconstructs the conceptualization of masculinity and the damaging effects it has on men and boys.

Using the US as an example of anything is usually a horrible idea. They are (for the most part) sex-negative, money-obsessed, gun-fetishists with a penal system in deep need of an overhaul. You still confuse feminism with radical feminism, site personal blogs from nutjobs, not realising 90% of what you are lobbying for is in fact feminism.

Women are not demons with manicures out to suck the souls of men. They're people who want to be recognised for their performance in the workplace, instead of their butts. They don't want to be touched without consent. They don't want to be seen as somebody's daughter, mother, sister, or girlfriend, but want to be people in their own right.
