That's fine in theory, if you ignore historical context, as many apologists do. After centuries/decades of struggle, oppression, harrassment suddenly the group is supposed to magically stop feeling resentment for past wrongs and bahaviours that are still being perpetuated (see the latest Trump pussy comment, or Brock Turner's sentencing, or Russia's gender policies). Germans have made restitution and implemented some of the strictest anti-racism laws/policies in the world, yet the Jews still harp on their past behaviour, despite the country having stopped its antisemitic practices 6 decades ago, and that's still ok.
My point is that it's very hard to let go of past institional and systemic grievances, especially when they are still perpetuated today.
Furthermore, there's the issue of violence: Men are physically stronger than women. It's something most guys don't think about unless they accidentally walk late at night in a bad neighbourhood. Ask any woman, even the badass ones, and they will tell you every day is like walking at night in a bad neighbourhood. It shapes their entire view, from what they wear, to what they say, to what jobs they choose.
This is what MRA's like Canada Man have no understanding about, no matter how many times they are proven wrong. They post BS stats and quotes from opinion pieces that feed their confirmation bias, all the while promoting rape culture and sexist apologism
