FARMINGDALE - Two Long Island DJs from 98.3 have been suspended after a hoax involving a birthday party invitation.
News 12 Long Island reported that the hosts said they received a copy of a birthday party RSVP that contained an anti-gay note.
According to the hosts, a Baldwin mother was refusing to allow her child to go to a birthday party because the parents were two gay dads.

However, over the weekend the hosts of the show admitted they made the story up.
Steve Harper and Leeana Karlson posted an apology online.
The pair said they made it up to "spur healthy discourse on a highly passionate topic."
Late last night, a post on the show's Facebook page said the show is suspended.
