A Firefox Question

Ok, I'm trying Chrome. It seems faster than Firefox, and I can see video and play Wordtwist.

When I start to type in a URL, it brings up a box showing the previous places I've been. How do I stop that? Is it because I didn't go incognito? I thought I would just erase my history when I'm done. If I go incognito will it stop showing where I've been?

I hate technology.

Yep, tech is great, when it works.

When in incognito mode, the list of sites you visited when not incognito, will show on the address bar.

As of February, Google began supporting Do Not Track in its browser. I don't think standards have been set as to how to implement the Do Not Track procedures, but from tests online it looks like IE 9 (ugh) is the best at preventing ad tracking.

the thing about adaware and malware is it won't affect your banking......only a keylogger or trojan would be used to garner any banking info. They use an ssl encryption method that is pretty much foolproof...I mean, maybe the NSA or CIA has software that could crack that encryption......and if you did have a trojan or keylogger, adaware scan wouldn't find it....you'd need a good quality anti virus program to do that.

I use kaspersky because I got a virus and had bell anti virus installed. They had an independant company contact me to clean my computer and they loaded all kinds of anti-virus onto my computer....and know which one got rid of it? Kaspersky. All the others didn't detect it......

Thanks, I'll look into it. I had read an article comparing different anti-virus stuff and Avast scored pretty high, and it was what my Techno-consultant son had recommended so I was pretty comfortable with it. But I'll check into Kaspersky, thanks for the info.

I know, you're all probably wondering why I'm bothering you guys with all this instead of just calling the kid. It's because I can sense when his eyes are rolling, and I don't like it.

All of the symptoms you described sound exactly like Adobe Flashplayer is not working in Firefox. Flashplayer is responsible for playing most videos on the Internet, as well as all of the little animated games and banners and whatnot.

Here's one possible solution:

It was the Flashplayer, I had to go back to an earlier version.
