Recently bought five sets of two three-seater suede sofas as upgrades for rental properties from a supposedly reputable local retailer, part of a well-known national chain.

After going round and round with the sales rep and various 'managers' and 'specialists' regarding the extended Fabric protection plan and what was actually covered vs. loophole, fine print exclusions, finally set up same day delivery of all pieces to the five separate shipping addresses.

After co-ordinating with tenants (and all the hoops that entails) delivery day finally came.

I went around to each location at the end of the day to inspect the furniture and ensure proper placement, only to find 8 out 15 pieces had fabric scratches, cuts and slashes from the delivery guys' box cutters, used to unwrap the manufacturer packing/wrapping!

Then spent almost a full day fighting with EACH, the franchise, the parent company, and the sub-contracted delivery company over who was responsible for the damages!

Now I need to not only co-ordinate pickup of damaged goods, but also delivery of replacement pieces, and figure out temp accommodations for my inconvenienced tenants!

Wondering if in the long run it might have been better simply to rent, rather than buy.

Anyone had any positive experiences with long-term furniture rental?

You must be getting old. You are now flirting with your furniture.

There is actually a fetish for that, There is a scene in the show nip/tuck where the guy sticks his dick inside the sofa cushions. don't even get me started what he did with the operating table.

Back to treating furniture as furniture. I am cool with IKEA I know they are not high-end furniture but I get good mileage out of them. minus the annoying build it yourself process. but at least if I changed my mood on my decor theme it's not going to cost me arm, leg and my left tit.

Where can I find a large sofa in the shape of the letter U, looking for just a sectional sofa that it can accommodate all my partners when we're going to discuss future business.
