Another under-appreciated talent, mostly a career as backing artist, but one well justified hit:

This one's for you, Blissful

This one's for you, Blissful

The late, great Eva Cassidy, ripped from this earth far too young, cancer eating her body away at age 33. Never properly appreciated while she was alive, Cassidy toiled in obscurity. She died a few months after being captured in this video, but this tune recorded live off the floor shot her to worldwide attention four years later. Sixty years after this song became Judy Garland's signature, Eva became the first singer to own it every bit as much as Judy.

Evie Sands had quite a few bad breaks, she should have had a great career. Lots of her songs were covered by other artists.

Joan Sutherland: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Don Giovanni

Victoria de los Angeles Giacomo Puccini Madama Butterfly

Having never heard of her I was Leary of your claims but having viewed the vid I have to say that is one of the best renditions I have come across. Many thanks.

One of my favorite songs.
Sung by Montserrat Caballe : Puccuini Gianni Schicchi
Song: O Moi Babbino Caro

My stomach grumbling because I'm hungry as hell and I don't know where I want to go out and eat.

Other than that, Iggy Pop and the Stooges.
