Likely where you got the last one

hey smartass that place doesnt exist anymore

Sams Club, Costco any place like that will do well

Here we have several discount mattress places that offer a decent price.

Fact is mattresses are like cars and quite negotiable

Yeah, I've never heard of a deal like that before...but then again, most high end mattresses are all hype and are really no different than mid priced ones.

I forget where I saw it but there was an "expose" on mattresses and they bought a $10,000.00 mattress and a $1000.00 mattress. They cut them both open and they were identical inside. Now the $10K one had nice contrasting piping, but the exact same number of tufts on top, the same number and type of coils, everything was identical.....except for the price.

There is a place on Norfinch in the Jane and Finch area where they make the mattresses on the premise for about 400 to 600 bucks. They are made to order and are very good.

110 Norfinch Dr. unit 7.

thanks people, i think we found a good 1 by Kingsdown at Sleep Country, we are still gonna look at the warehouses, because the 1 she likes so far is $780 for mattress only and its a demo model, regularly priced at 2200$ the salesman & manager say that they are giving it to us at below cost price, and could not do better, but offered to throw in 2 pillows & a mattress cover, her budget is $500 so this almost doubles it

Her budget? I thought you said "your gurl and I" in the original post?

btw: I've been finding Kijijijiji is pretty good for finding stuff cheap. I picked up an $800.00 portable a/c unit (delonghi) for $300.00 brand new.....

Here's one for mattresses:

nice find...I need a portable a/c too ....

Not to hijack the thread but the delonghi units are really the best. The consumer brands just don't cool.

Delonghi makes this model, you fill it with water for those really hot days and it uses the water to chill the air. A woman in my old building had a 1600 sq ft corner loft, with 14 ft ceilings and 2 walls of 12' glass. She bought 2, I installed them, and after the first day, she turned off one and never turned it on again, it got TOO cold in there.

They go on sale sometimes for $800 at sears, but you can find em for $600 or so refurbished. They last forever too...

This is the smaller one I have (no water system):
