Made with Love

Are you addicted to junk food?.

Interesting read, thanks for the post. I've no will power when it comes to food, especially food laden with fat and sugar, nor do I get full. I should enter eating contests, As I'm sure I'd win. I always surprise people with the amounts of food I eat . So am I addicted, probably:)

:shout:....... I don't eat cute piggly wigglies:) Now, pound cake slathered in butter creme icing, that I'd run to:)

How about pasta, for the past 3 days I've gorged on pasta with tomato sauce and garlic and cheese bread, I can't get enough of a crusty baguette, a literal carb overload. The bowl I use is 10 in wide, lol, posted a pic on my instagram:)

I like pasta on occasion....I actually do not eat a ton of carbs........Or starches.

So it appears you are more a protein guy? I find a lot of men are more protein eaters than anything else, only a few I've met are sugar or carb eaters. I met a client a few days ago that had a body of a god, not an ounce of fat on him, just beautiful, and he only ate protein. But he said he bought his meat at Wal-mart.....which is akin to eating at Mcdonalds, I told him of a meat market in Dartmouth, if any Nova Scotians are reading, called Gateway, all their meats are locally sourced and from farmers that raise their food animals as they're species requires. Anyone buying meat should be conscious to how it is raised, and if it is raised right, not only will that help your health, but the environment as well.

For most people it is about price.

When it comes to beef I love dry-aged for 6 months or longer.......Not exactly easy to find in all locals...

Local pork is always best.

Does McD's count as junk food? What about chockie bars like O Henry! and so on? They're all-natural healthy stuff, right? So no, not addicted.

I have to admit that I find it so difficult to walk past one of those Cinnabon places without making a purchase.

Thousands of Skittles end up on an icy road. But that's not the surprising part

This story starts out about Skittles but ends up being about cows.

A rural county in southeast Wisconsin had a sweet, sticky mystery along a highway earlier this week. Hundreds of thousands of red Skittles were found spilled on a road in Dodge County.

"There's no little 'S' on them, but you can definitely smell, it's a distinct Skittles smell," Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt told CNN affiliate WISN.

No one knew where the candy came from or where it was going, but county road crews said the Skittles spill was actually helpful, as the roads in the area have been icy the past couple of days and the thousands of little candies improved traction. So that's one unexpected silver lining from that mishap.

But the story gets better.

The sheriff's department later found out that the Skittles fell off a truck that was hauling the red candies to be used as cattle feed. Yes, they're feeding candy to cows -- and they've been doing it for years.

A former farmer told CNN affiliate WBAY that candy makers and bakeries often sell rejects to be used as cattle feed because they provide "cheap carbs." The practice goes back decades, but it picked up steam in 2012 when corn prices were surging and cattle farmers were looking for a cheaper way to keep their cows and other livestock fed. "(It) is a very good way for producers to reduce feed cost, and to provide less expensive food for consumers," said Ki Fanning, a livestock nutritionist with Great Plains Livestock Consulting, told CNNMoney at the time.
