Do you hold a grudge, do you hate someone, wish someone harm?
It's said, to be a well rounded happy human being and to be able to grow and be at peace with oneself one can't hold grudges, have hate in their heart or wish bad on anyone. We must forgive those who've hurt, harmed or caused us pain. Do you believe this to be true, do you follow this creed of forgiveness?
I try, but usually fail. However, I'm not sure I believe that hating or carrying dislike causes unhappiness, as I often feel quite happy and content. I do hate some people and wish they get some of what they give, but I'm trying to learn to be forgiving, to let go, to be more understanding towards those I choose to dislike, to understand what it must be like to be in their shoes.
How about you?:)

There are times in life where it become necessary to remove toxic people from your life.

This is not true of all people but some.

But wouldn't it be better to help those who are toxic become non-toxic. There usually is a reason for most behaviors, to understand and heal is better than just removal, if one can do that, imo. Love is more healing than hate or ignoring, is it not?

Not at all.

There are times a person must change their behavior to save their own life.

I try to be forgiving. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt and put myself in their shoes to understand their motives. Some acts or behaviors are unforgivable. Sometimes you just need to expres how you feel and move on.

I can honestly say I hate no one. There are many I don't like, but hate is not an emotion I want to harbor.

Better to ignore and avoid than to hate.

And if that doesn't work, I have guns and big dogs. :biggrin2:

Been living with the same wife for 25 years. You blame me if I am not?.

I think for the most part if someone shows remorse I would be willing to forgive them. There may be a few things I would not forget though.
