Not I but do know of people that brag that they have reservations in 5 different restaurants on a Saturday night and will make up their mind half hour before where to go. Plus they won't even bother to cancel the other reservations.

I had to go in and pre-pay in full before my last spa appointment because I didn't have a credit card to hold the appointment I was booking a few day in advance. They would charge the full fee if you reserve with a cc, then cancel.

Maybe more businesses will start charging a cancellation fee.

It's frustrating, couple months ago when I went to the dentist I wound up waiting almost a hour past my appointment time because several people were late/no showed.

There are times that I forget a dentist appointment or a restaurant reservation even when they call me a day before to remind me. I pay the dentist's now show fee and make sure to visit that restaurant in the near future and spend twice as much.
