Asexual

As usual at the Pride parade there was a little group of people carrying signs and proclaiming themselves to be "asexual". Normal looking group of people, even a couple of cute ladies, but just not interested in sex.

What's your opinion of this? Is it possible to have absolutely no interest in sex? I know people have different sex drives (just look at me and my wife for an example of that) but can they have such a low sex drive that it just doesn't exist?

I just can't conceive of such a thing.

My opinion is , it's not my business. If someone wants to have sex with a man or woman, man +man, woman+ woman or more that too is there business, if they want none that is their business,and none of mine. I'll only comment to those who want it with something that shouldn't occur-ie-child or animal. As adults we should be free to make consensual choices, or none at all BTW why wouldn't asexuals look "normal" lol? We're all different

What one or two (or more) people do is fine and "normal" as long as no one is coerced into doing something they don't want to.

Asexuality is a small but significant percentage of the population, with no desire to have sex. There's nothing "wrong" with these folks physically or mentally, although some do attribute the lack of sex drive to a lack of specific hormones. While that's factoring in, to be sure, it's also a mental thing: even with "normal" hormones, there's no desire for sex. And so be it. This doesn't need "fixing" any more than being gay needs "fixing". Our brains are complex organs, and one size does not fit all. The intelligent can embrace that fact and accept others the way they are, not forcing them to conform to our ideal of "normal".
