Bill 36 going to committee

Will another Pickton wanna be come out this bill? Sex workers are going to disappear and that's perfectly fine with the Conservatives. One less whore in the world.

I can't believe what the cons are doing to our country. All the trafficking charges as of late is proof we have enough laws in place to help with the vulnerable but now this government wants to go after law abiding citizens.

I just posted another good article here: https://www.hubgfe.com/community/sh...-position-on-prostitution&p=547483#post547483

Looks like an ever increasing number of intelligent people are realizing the stupidity of Mackay's Law.

The problem is Steven Harper is like a little child who is fixated on ramming through legislation and doesn't care what anyone thinks, especially the Supreme Court of Canada. I assure you he's buying time to appoint judges he feels will lean in his favor in the future.

What can we do to save the industry? The way the bill is going I don't see much hope... Or maybe I have my dark glasses on?

That's a little too depressed an approach. Look at the US, which has tougher laws than C46. The escort and massage businesses are there, thriving, some more open than others. The same is true in other countries that have very tough rules on the business. It may drive the Canadian business underground, which is the worst option the government could have chosen, but the business will live on.

You are correct. I should have phrased my question better- what I meant was what can we do to preserve our rights as free, non criminal citizens and prevent the bill to pass. We need more activists!

The situation in countries like US is terrible; as you said the industry is underground, and when that happens the hobby becomes unsafe and the quality, in every aspect, goes way down.

I totally agree with Romance.

Imagine being caught in a sting, your name out in the public before even being found guilty of anything?

WE ARE NOT CRIMINALS FOR ENGAGING IN CONSENTUAL SEX BETWEEN ADULTS!!!
