Let me get this right. You cannot use steroids in the Olympics but you can use springs on your legs to improve your performance?.

Kudos to him though for not letting his handicap not going through with his dream. I just don't think it's a fair call by the committee.

Let me get this right for you:

You cannot use steroids in the Olympics, but you can compete as a runner even though you have no legs below your knees?

These so-called "springs" are in fact artificial legs designed to mimic the action of an able-bodied person's ankles.

That someone whose legs have been amputated and replaced with prosthetics can even qualify to compete is amazing.

"Pistorius isn’t expected to be a medal contender, but he most likely will be as big a star as swimmer Michael Phelps or sprinter Usain Bolt. It is likely to be a historic moment when he steps onto the track and competes against intact limb individuals,” Bundle said. “I think that he is an inspiration to millions of people around the world. I think he is deserving of all of that recognition.”

What you are saying is so Irrelevant heck. You are one smart cook but way too late to discuss.

Shouldn't he be in running in the special olympics or disabled olympics? Serious question!

Usain will Bolt passed him.

I think some feel sorry for him.
I am glad the he can compete but I think it is not fair.....
With the mechanic of the springs ( which I am not good with) I know that
the springs can push you farther.....etc.....The runners with legs can not
make their legs spring forward. just my 2 cents.....
