Personally, JJ, BITI can call me an idiot all he wants. I called him an idiot first, because, well, he was one with some of his posts. If he calls me an idiot back, it doesn't bother me and I certainly would never report anything to the Mods.

Heck, the back and forth between BITI and I was, if nothing else, entertaining for me (and I suspect others here, too), and while his incredibly boring diatribes had no interest for me, I suspect he got some satisfaction out of the posting of such. But if he's gonna bather on mindlessly, then I get to point out I think he's blathering on mindlessly. He can then retaliate. I don't for a second think anything I said or did to BITI got him banned, nor would I want it to do so.

This board has some polarizing members: Baz was one before this, but he has been making some interesting posts of late and he's welcome here, just like everyone else. BITI, if he can calm down just a little and stop acting like a little spoiled brat, could also be a useful member.

This isn't life or death, folks, it's entertainment.

Exactly but it seems The Cute One and Morpheus seem to believe that Bito is the devil incarnate and needs to be taught a lesson where no major foul was committed while we have PS repeating over and over how just and fair his banning was, yeah good one.

While you've made some good points in your posts, the Mods know what the reasons for banning were, and we don't. We end up speculating, based on little information. Surely if BITI posted something offensive, it would have been removed by the Mods as part of the banning process, and we would not get to see it/them. I joined this board years ago because I was fed up with the Mods being idiots on two other boards, and I have yet to see that sort of rampant power display here, so I give the Mods the benefit of the doubt.

Others have stated they miss BITI's posting, but you'll recall it was BITI himself who withdrew from posting life, and while I have not read his blog, I do think posting there seems like a coward's way to take potshots at others who have no chance to return fire, so to speak. When BITI was posting here reguarly, he showed no respect for many members, made insulting comments about many, and generally did not fit in well. Are we a "special" bunch of people here (especially the frequent posters)? Yes, of course, but that's why we come here! If someone new wants to fit in they are welcome, and that doesn't mean they have to conform to everything we do! We have lots of members (Candyman, Blank Dave, and quite a few others) who are certainly interesting posters in their own way, and they are also welcome. But, swim against the stream as much as BITI did and you will eventually get frustrated with the effort.

I have no idea how many were on BITI's Ignore list, but it was not just Papa and me! So we have a member who refuses to behave, ignores the regulars while insulting them as often as he can, posts little of real value, and generally - his own admission - wants to tailor the board to HIS ideals, not fit in with the way it is, and you're going to have someone who is quite contentious. HUBGFE is the way it is because of the way the members treat it. For someone as arrogant as Bob to come along and think he can force the board to his own little-minded vision of the way it should be is stupid. He should start his own board.

And, with all due respect, you seem to be advocating above and beyond the norm for BITI. You seem to believe Papa and others have a vendetta against BITI, advocating with the Mods to take BITI down, but I don't see it that way at all. BITI rubbed Papa (and me) the wrong way, but that doesn't mean there's a conspiracy!
 
This is truly a shame, I've had very enjoyable pms with Bob. Bob if somehow you read this I have informed Mel about her inbox being full. He was nothing but a gentleman with me, I also find it hard to believe he deserved a banning.

It's evident after Bob's departure, Reverse, Mel and possibly Barb based on the posts in this thread are loss.

Mods, that's bad for business I would think.

It''s true right, all the guys I like either pass away or are not allowed to post, if it wasn't a holiday tomorrow I'd be very sad.

Jesus's Christ, I didn't post this thread so Bito can be banned, wtf...some people take things way too serious around here.
