Teddy died :Crying2:. Made up a name for the crow but the story is true.
We were outside the back yard and noticed Teddy lying on the grass trying to move his wings to no avail. My female companion was petting him while I gave him a small bowl of water but didn't drink it. Crows were now circling around us and we worried that they were going to attack us assuming we were hurting their buddy Teddy.
To the right of us on top of a few old trees more crows were staring. No joke, was beginning to feel like a part of a Hitchcock movie.
We called the humane society and they said they couldn't pick the crow up and if we can bring Teddy there. She said to find a box with a lid full of holes so he can breath. Also told us to keep Freddy away from the other crows as they will hurt him. That was a shocker.
Teddy goes in the box underneath the light AC unit on passenger seat. Five minutes before we get there Freddy wanted to get out of the box and heard the flap flap while driving. By now I fear the worse, dash to their office hand her the box and goes to the back.
I see through the door window how she is examining and Freddy's neck was just flapping forward and backwards. Yes he is definitely dead.
She believes he had the West Nile Virus. Not to worry on infections she says, odds are 1000 more likely you can get WNV from a mosquito that touching a Crow with it.
