It is true. Heard it from a reliable source.

You heard it here first. So if you are a gambling man and if there are sites that you can bet against him. Go ahead and make money.

Just give me 10 % of your winnings :biggrin2:

PS. Not a joke.

[h=2]Rob Ford crack scandal: Gawker’s ‘Crackstarter’ campaign hits snag as it nears $200,000 goal, editor says[/h]
Two important developments happened Thursday night in Gawker’s Rob Ford “Crackstarter” campaign: someone donated $10,000, and editor John Cook admitted he hasn’t been able to get in touch with his source since Sunday.

The U.S. website’s crowd-funding campaign is seeking to buy the smartphone video that allegedly shows Toronto Mayor Rob Ford appearing to smoke crack cocaine. The video is being shopped around by a group of Somali men involved in the drug trade, the Toronto Star previously reported.

“At the rate it's going, we will reach our goal by Saturday, if not sooner,” Cook wrote in his update (the campaign is nearly breaking $160,000 of its $200,000 goal).

Around the same time Cook posted his update, the campaign received a $10,000 contribution, earning the donor “the actual iPhone that was used to record the video,” according to Gawker.

But it’s possible the video may never surface now.

“We were initially made aware of the video by a tipster, who connected us with the owner of the video after we travelled to Toronto,” Cook wrote. “We've been in relatively constant communication with the tipster since then. But he has told us that hasn't been able to make contact with the owner of the video in recent days.”

The campaign ends on Monday afternoon. Cook is hoping he’s able to make contact with the owner of the video by then, or that the owner will make contact once the goal is reached.

If the goal is reached and Gawker is unable to acquire the video, Cook said he’ll donate the proceeds to a Canadian nonprofit that addresses substance abuse issues.

Did his rich family interfered?.

Toronto mayor fired chief of staff for telling him to 'go away and get help'

By Jamie Strashin, CBC News May 23, 2013 11:00 PM ET

Mark Towhey was fired as Mayor Rob Ford's chief of staff because he told Ford in no uncertain terms to "go away and get help," a source close to the mayor's office has told CBC News.

Towhey was unceremoniously dumped from his job Thursday in the midst of a scandal that has ripped apart Toronto municipal politics — with the city's colourful mayor caught in the midst of allegations that he was recorded smoking crack cocaine.

The story broke last week and shortly after Towhey faced down the mayor telling him he needed help.

"There's nothing more I can do for you," the source quoted Towhey as telling Ford. The chief of staff then told Ford to "go away and get help."

On May 17, the day after the U.S. gossip website Gawker and the Toronto Star both reported the existence of a recording of the mayor smoking something that appears to be crack cocaine, Ford made a public appearance at an annual ceremony at Nathan Phillips Square, where Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) held a flag raising ceremony to recognize the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

At the end of the ceremony Ford left quickly and just a few minutes later was closeted in a room with his top advisers to discuss the cocaine scandal.
Towhey is said to have gathered together the inner circle and presented Ford with options.

The source said Ford was presented with three options, though exactly what those options were is not known.

But when it became clear the meeting "was not going anywhere," Towhey cleared the room and presented the mayor with one option and told him for the third time, "You have a problem. Go away and fix it."

The source said Ford repeatedly laughed off attempts to enter rehab.

Rob Ford’s Unseen Advantage: Why he’ll probably buy the video himself

(Update, Thursday 11:25pm: Two recent developments suggest that the video is still unclaimed – both Gawker and The Star claim they’ve been out of contact with the owners since Sunday afternoon, and Rob Ford fired his Chief of Staff Mark Towhey on Thursday for allegedly telling Rob to “go away and get help”. In my opinion, this suggests that the video is still out there, because if Rob Ford had already bought it, there wouldn’t have been any need to fire Towhey, and he’d finally be able to go on the offensive.

However, if we see Rob Ford make an impassioned defense of himself in the coming days, that will be a good indication that he’s tracked down the video. And if he follows it up with a lawsuit against The Star to give his conspiracy-theory supporters something to grasp, then we can pretty much assume it’s over and that the video will never see the light of day. For now, the circus continues, but it’s drawn on for sooooooo long that it feels like the fatal blow has already been struck, and all that’s left is to wait for him to bleed out…)

Even though Gawker has made a valiant effort to raise the $200,000 they claim will give them ownership of the Rob Ford crack video, the more likely resolution is that Rob Ford ends up buying it himself. I think this outcome is definitely the most likely of all possible scenarios, because Ford actually has quite a few advantages in this strange situation. . . .

I think it's gone beyond the video now Art. I too thought the reason for him keeping a low profile was that his staff was working in the background to get this video. I don't believe the video matters anymore. I think that people are tired of his antics. When both Conservative and Liberal news sources have lined up against the way you behave in public then you've lost credibility.

If anyone is interested the mayor and his brother Doug host a weekly show on CFRB 1010AM every Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00. They cancelled last weeks show but confirmed they will both be there this Sunday.

This is in my opinion the end of the Mayor and if Doug Ford still has aspirations of running in the next Provincial election next to his buddy Hudak, he better start to distance himself and watch what he says in regards to his brother.
