1) strip searched? ummm someone is on drugs because that was not a strip search, that was a typical pat down. I've had a lot worse done to me just going into an airport.
2) scripted? umm I don't think so.....that is how a lot of "cops" arrests go down
3) did she deserve it? that's debatable....but when you blatantly "lie" to the police, and they catch you on it, it isn't a good thing.
4) Based on how she looked, I have NO doubt that she's used to being able to do what she wants and people bend over and let her go. Maybe they were making an example out of her but that female cop said it best "when you drink, you become irresponsible" and in this case, she flapped her gums to the wrong cop.
Once again, remember, cops are there to arrest those who break the law. By lying about where she went to school (dumb to do in the first place) she provided inaccurate information to a police officer. As it appears, there's a law that says you can't do that.....she broke the law, got arrested, and went to jail.....I bet dollars to donuts she won't lie to a cop again.....as it appears, she plead down to a misdemeanor and paid a fine, I bet it won't even appear on her record. But maybe she, and her co-horts learned a lesson....(probably not, they probably looked at it as "getting hassled" by the cops for no reason).....

I opened this thread expecting to find a strip search in the video. I don't mind telling you people I am greatly disappointed. Thank God there's Maurice's signature to save this thread.

The lady cop told her she would be strip searched at the jail house if I'm not mistaken.
I agree with MB, it was a total waste of resources and she found a cop with a chip on his shoulder. He was probably was pissed because so many gals that looked like her has never given him the time of day!

sorry, I don't agree....a) if it was a slow night, then there weren't any resources to waste since they were all being paid even if they didn't arrest anyone and b) if someone breaks a law, any law, then a cop has the sworn duty to enforce that law.
As I've said repeatedly, people usually "hate" the police but that usually occurs after they've broken a law and get caught.....but when their ass in on the line and 4 pissed off bikers are after them with baseball bats? cops are suddenly their best friends and savour......

Maybe so but if all the cops enforced the letter of the law then our legal system would come to a complete halt.
In this case she although an imbecile did not deserve to spend a night in jail.
But I venture it does make for controversial TV which I suspect was the agenda from the get go.
You have a point about clogging up the legal system but that really doesn't negate the point. I look at this situation as like those scrums that happen after the whistle goes during a hockey game. The announcers always say that the ref warns them to cut the shit or he'll give someone a penalty......like this case, they probably got called out to this party, and we looking for someone to take...that girl, and her lying about where she went to school, was just the example they were looking for.
I dunno about you, but IMO lying to the police about anything is kinda serious.....
