Compensated Restaurant Time

I just cut off a regular I've been seeing for almost a year now, am I wrong?

I started seeing this particular independent in Feb. 2016. It began with 3 full paid 2 hour sessions so rightly so she considered me a regular. On the fourth session, as I was getting dressed to leave she inquired what I had planned for the rest of the day which I replied I was just going to grab a bite and head home. She asked if she could join me because she was starving and of course I was happy for the company. I paid for the meal and drinks and we went our separate ways. This continued for a year, occasionally catching dinner, going to a movie but it was understood I always paid for the 2 hour sessions at the full rate which worked for me. To also note, these outings were not always at my request, more so than not it was the young ladies idea.
The 2 hour sessions were a 2X a month ritual with a net gain of $1200.00 in compensation.

This brings me to about 3 weeks ago, I happen to ask at the end of our session if she was hungry I was going to a very nice restaurant if she was free to join me. This was my answer

"I'd love to but from now on if you don't mind, maybe you can pay me half of the hourly rate for the outside time" .

This floored me and I surely stood in her presence like a deer caught in the headlights. Once I gathered my thoughts I turned to her and said, no thank you and maybe it's best we end this relationship here and now. She was visibly upset and said she still hoped I would at least see her for our regular sessions which I of course told her, we are done, have a good life and left.

The only reason I lasted a year as her regular was the personal touch, once that was done, in my eyes we were done. It won't change my feelings if most of you believe she was correct but I'm curious what most would have done as well from hearing from the providers side?

I would have done exactly the same thing Jessie. It's one thing if you are not a regular or you call a provider to perhaps bring to your to a work function as eye candy or a convention etc....but if she engages and asks you then absolutely I wouldn't pay a dime, not that I would pay anyone ever to socialize with me, sex is different. If she's this entitled let her go find another fish.

Or, you could look at it from her side. She's a working girl and gets paid for providing companionship. You don't want to pay for her time.
you want a girlfriend to go out for dinner with. Get a girlfriend. Leave the working girl to work for her money.
i do paid dinner dates. Some girls will reduce the rate for paid outside time. Some would want full rate for ALL time no matter what the event.
yes, I've had some ladies go out to eat 'for free' after a session, but then later I heard from her that I owed her because of 'all that free time'.
i don't expect any freebies, would never expect it, I thought I was being a nice guy offering to feed her, on my time, but a working girl will never see it that way.

Some will do it for free. Most won't and perhaps she will use it as "You owe her" after things go south. Better to get that out of the way and decide what to do based on her answer. If you can afford the full rate for dinner, go for it, if you can't then don't do it. If she offers a dinner and fun rate, that you can afford, do that instead.

Ultimately, you're asking for social time and getting to know her which is a slippery slope and where lines will get blurred.

Careful what you ask for

In any business once you give something away for free it's hard to get paid for it, unless it is explicitly understood to be a one time deal. Treat your regulars well, and they will keep coming back. If it was a financial issue on her part then possibly just declining the social time that day and trying to book another appointment during that time would have been a better choice. Just my two cents.

Clearly she should have just declined the invite if she no longer felt comfortable with uncompensated time. It's possible something transpired in her private life (like a serious relationship) that prompted the change. Ya never know :unknw: I hope with some space, time and a fun romp or ten with some other women can help you feel better, Jessie.

It's a business transaction. You likely screwed youself out of something good the moment you crossed the line the very first time and mixed business with pleasure. If you had kept it all business you'd probably still be in a good place with a girl you apparently really clicked with sexually. Hard to blame her when seems you fucked yourself over a long time ago without realizing it.

Did you forget about the red board?. Why aren't you there too?.

What do you mean? I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about...? :wink2:

She's allowed to change the rules, but you're also entitled to end the relationship. Time to start fresh with someone new.

I agree with Janelle and Jasper's sentiments, both have good points, regardless, only you can decide what is good for you:)

Good for you Jessie and I agree with what another person said, something changed for her. I think it was probably her co-workers that put it in her head and basically caused the lady to lose $1600 a month steady income.

It's like the employee putting in extra time for the promotion or the sales person putting in time to make the sale. Oh well, her loss is your gain because now you can spend that 1600 on 5 ladies, spread the wealth young man and with the left over change buy me a cup of coffee please.
