Footage has emerged of a father verbally abusing and then hitting a young boy, after the kid accidentally collided with a young child of the parent.
Here's how it played out ..... 17 yr-old Daniel Poulson was snowboarding with friends at Snowbasin, when they decided to make their way down one of the runs.
Passing a sign that says "slow" they appear to be the quickest ones on the run. However, as they make there way down a little further, they appear to have slowed down a little.
Watch the little girl in green as they go downhill, everyone is moving about the same speed.
From the left, a little girl has move in a little close, and Daniel reaches out with his left hand to prevent a collision.
However, a younger child has stepped out from behind an adult in front of him, directly in Daniels path, and he collides with the young kid. I'm not sure what effort/s the father was making to shield his young son or watch over him, until it is too late.
After the collision, while still sliding, Daniel has instinctively reached out to the young child asking if he is OK. Daniel obviously appears concerned with the welfare of the kid he just collided with.
Within a few seconds, the father of the young child that stepped out and involved in the collision has made his way down to Daniel, and immediately became aggressive and yelling, before punching Daniel in the head with his left fist.
Sure, he's a dad and his young son was wiped out, but the dad has also left his son alone up the hill while he skied down the hill to assault Daniel. Why leave your kid who just got wiped out?
Ironically, the parent has yelled "stay in control", while obviously showing no restraint himself when he struck Daniel. Accidents happen, but I think the kid handled himself pretty well considering the circumstances. Difficult to assign the blame ?

Daniel does not want the man charged, but is asking for an apology from the guy that punched him.
