Lately I am looking for a better challenge. Have searched, been interviewed to others but cannot land one that fits my forte.


For now just working to pay the bills but wish something will come up soon. Getting restless.

How you Mr/Ms doing on this subject?.
 
I really like what I'm doing right now. Not a real surprise out here in Calgary but I work in Oil & Gas. The group of people that I work with are very nice, and we work very hard as a team, but we also have fun.
 
Mixed feelings. There are good days and bad days but kinda in a situation where if the right opportunity comes along, I wouldn't mind moving on.

DUDE what the hell is going on with the price of gas??

I enjoy my job, it can get stressful at times but overall I can't complain.

I LOVE my chosen career!

My biggest problem with most jobs was boredom. Once the learning curve was over, or if there wasn't enough work to fill the hours, I would go insane, bored out of my mind.

Working as a SP - every day is different, every client is different, every session is different, and there is no end to what I can learn about men and their bodies. I have no boss, no co-workers, no employees, set my own schedule and have a safe, peaceful work environment.

I despise my job, the company I work for, and its mission.

I get paid pretty well, but my duties (and by extension resposibility) have been simplified and streamlined to the point that my knowledge impedes satisfying the metrics. The mandate of the company is now, more than ever, profess excellence but reward only mediocrity. Sure, the benefits are decent, but it's a soul-kill. If I could find something else that paid close to what I get I'd jump ship immediately, but for every job I apply, there are 20-30 people gunning for it. I've come to despise the corporate sector.

Will you be rewarded with a good retirement package if you hang in there?

I hope you have some awesome hobbies to help you de-stress and escape from what you despise! :wink2:

Dude,

I hear you. I'm interviewing people with MBA's WITH a pEng to be my subordinates. These people have knowledge and skills WAY above what I have, actually, it puts me in fear of keeping my job.

Every single day I have to out perform everyone else on the team. That is a shitload of pressure.

Thank you. Yeah, the retirement package will be nice, but that's 20-30 years away. Hoping something less soul-crushing comes my way before then.

As for hobbies, it's what keeps me from jumping in front of a bus. I run, I train in Martial Arts and MMA, I blog in politics and sex-work activism, read voraciously, and have been known to shake booty from time to time. I have a wonderful gf who allows me to hobby and date other girls, and speaking of the Hobby, I've met some wonderful people, several of whom have become close, dear friends.

I believe it. I speak 4 languages, 15 years of experience in my field, PM, training, and some marketing experience. And people still outshine me. WTF.

Pressure that I believe by the way you write is minimal. Your boss should be blessed by having you as his employee.
