I feel like all news are skewed into a perspective that helps them make money or helps the person that pays them off more. I really don't trust anything I read anymore unless both sides of the story are prevented in a non-bias fashion. Short answer: I don't think I've ever completely trusted the news

I think the mainstream media (NBC/CBS/ABC/CNN/NYT/Wash Post) has made it abundantly clear that it is biased towards the liberal/Democrat ideology. This bias gets worse and worse every election cycle. Then when an organization like Fox News Network comes along and provides the counter argument to it they seek to have it silenced and marginalized as being a propaganda tool for the Republicans.

The role of a free and unbiased media is to hold politicians, corporations and the government bureaucrats accountable for their actions. Sadly it has failed abysmally in that mandate.
