But how do you know, there is nothing online, or on facebook, that eludes to it's falsehood and from what I've seen, his description is accurate and his story/feelings are believable. If you are going to call something fake, you should have proof.

Well it is good to have instinct, but with all due respect, that isn't enough to outright call something fake. I believe until I have proven reason not to. I don't rely on my own instinct alone, so I can't rely on yours and I think it unfair and disrespectful of you to initially reply to the post in the manner you did.

Thank you, regardless, it is a subject that more need to know about, hence my posting it. Some aren't aware this even happens. The more that know, might mean the more that will fight for change.

Most people know the majority of shelters are kill shelters.

They also know the the reality is there are just too many animals.
Every shelter I know implores people to neuter their critters.

I once did research on puppy pounds as part of an exercise for work once. The info and pics I found were horrific. Some of the stuff I found was here in Ontario. This affected me so much that when we were ready for a dog in the family, I drove over 2 hours to see a reputable breeder and paid 3 times what a puppy pound or pet shop would charge for our hairy bundle of joy. And when he was old enough, we had him neutered.

Whether real or not, the letter was heartbreaking. And I have no doubt that stuff happens all the time.

Plain fact: Animal abusers are abusers. They are or will be wife beaters, kid beaters and should be prosecuted and dealt with much more seriously.
To the culprits: Sad fact is Jacko's are expensive, even without papers. Dude you threw away at least a couple of hundred.
Karma can be a bitch and fortunately Jacks are tough and adorable little ratters. Hope they make out all right. Hope the catch the bastard.

The funniest part is that people are begging him not to let the dogs loose, just leave the van in a parking lot.

The human life is not as important as the dog's one.

Sad but true and I do tend to agree.

Another example of why I've never and will never let anyone else care for my dog/s. If something were to go wrong when your pet friend is with you, that's one thing, if it happens when they're with someone else, it would just make it so much harder to get over.

Another example of why I've never and will never let anyone else care for my dog/s. If something were to go wrong when your pet friend is with you, that's one thing, if it happens when they're with someone else, it would just make it so much harder to get over.

I won't go on vacations overseas if I can't get a trusted friend to take in my dogs. I haven't used a kennel in over 30 years. I'd much rather stay home with my dogs than leave them with someone else I don't trust.

I'm not sure I understand which human life we are talking about here. Do you mean in general?

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that this story did have a happy ending and all dogs are well and back home.
