Donald Sterling’s racist remarks

When this all that is wrong with the world only then will he be an issue.

MM

what you have in the story is the media deflecting attention from far more serious issues.

That is not saying that prejudicial statements are not hurtful.
But in reality this is a non story

It is an interesting story, does it surprise me taking into account Sterling's age....no not at all. I'm sure publicly he would not have shared his views so was he set up....yes. Is it going to affect his business and well being going forward.....yes.

I think a few will be asking to be traded and the public backlash may force him to sell the team. I'm sure he will lose some fans, advertising ect.....

all is possible

he will likely step aside and retain ownership.

As for the player they follow the money

Yes they do follow the money but the stars do get a say in where they want to play. It will weaken his team and I do agree he will have to step aside and quietly own the team.

remember a few weeks ago an openly gay played returned to the NBA??
it was supposed to cause a furor.

That was another non issue.

I doubt the NBA wants a full scale who is a bigot investigation on or off the court.

Openly gay player returning to the court should be a non issue in today's day and age. A person wanting to return to the day when his black players would have to sit at the back of the bus is a story in today's day and age.

just think of the wheels that statement has.

you can see it runs up the curb as soon as it is voiced.

I'm not trying to be a troll here.

Why is it you only hear about the racism/bigotry of white males in the news. There are plenty of examples out there of the same coming from minority groups against white people. Why the different treatment. I think anyone who judges people based on some supposed "group" they belong to are wrong. Sure, stereotypes exist for a reason and there are trends amongst groups and cultures. But I think it is just as bad when an African American calls all Caucasian Americans racist as it is for an CA to call all AAs lazy or criminal or whatever.

Don't forget, I'm part of what is considered a minority.

I wish people could just judge each other on individual merit, words and actions. Throwing people into groups and having them go at each other doesn't help the people of any country, only the demagogues who use the strife to their own advantage.

I do agree with you. Every culture discriminates against other cultures.

An E.Indian woman falls for a white Irish man and announces to her family she wants to marry him.....it will be bedlam in the home.

A Jamaican woman falls for a honky:biggrin2: and decides he's the one....look out she maybe beaten on facebook for all to see..

The point is publicly displayed racism cannot be condoned and yes the media will flame the fires of a story if the headlines bring in viewers.

Knicks executive and former player Larry Johnson had a decidedly different but still strong reaction to the racially insensitive remarks Clippers owner Donald Sterling is alleged to have made.

On Saturday night, Johnson tweeted: “Black people your Focusing on the wrong thing. We should be focusing on having our own, Own team own League! To For Self!!’’

The initial indication was Johnson was calling for an all-African-American league complete with black ownership. It wasn’t the first time Johnson, who is black, concerned himself with the fact the NBA’s ownership is mostly white while its players are mostly black.

I don't know what is worse. The senile racist old geyser or the conniving gold digging bitch.

Clippers protest Donald Sterling as new recording includes more racist and misogynistic remarks

TMZ.com released photos of V. Stiviano with Magic Johnson and Matt Kemp, which reportedly upset Sterling, on Sunday. Deadspin.com released an a clip the same day that alleges to be a continuation of the conversation between Sterling and Stiviano.
