You still don't exit the vehicle unless you're told to. The police saw him as a threat. I don't know how many officers have been shot in a similar situation or the perp fled. They had every right to take him down. And by him not complying, he was being uncooperative. Good luck to that guy if he sues. He won't get shit.

Yet some people still do....kind of make you wonder. Perhaps some need education. There should be daily ads showing viewers or readers about the importance of remaining in your car at all times when being pulled over by a police officer. What about the recent immigrants with different cultural backgrounds? They should be told as well.

When I used to watch the show Cops, it always seemed to be a black man running from the PO-Lice and when asked why they ran it was usually "Because I was scared". You have to feel for law enforcement when THEY KNOW there is a more likely chance of the perp running because he's black and getting ready for the chase or confrontation.

Again, I hate to generalize....well, no I don't because the data doesn't lie. You can say Black Lives Matter all you want to me, but if you resist, not comply or are uncooperative, then I don't care what fucking colour you are, you have what's coming to you.

I did not know that getting out your own car, with hands up and smiling, is a crime. If that is a crime, then that is a crime.

That would explain why that driver was arrested and charged.

(Why the charges where later dropped, I won't speculate on the D.A. motivations.)
