That's news to me.

I did not know that getting out your own car, with hands up and smiling, is a crime. If that is a crime, then that is a crime.

That would explain why that driver was arrested and charged.

(Why the charges where later dropped, I won't speculate on the D.A. motivations.)

(Note: if getting out of your own car, with hands up and smiling is not a crime in your jurisdiction, then that is why Blacks peoples are fucked - by white oppression via the law!)

that is my exactly my point....education is needed to deal with this issue. I am definitely not denying people have been fucked by abusive people/law as we have sadly witnessed it many times.

As far as I know, I have been told to remain in the car and keep my hands on the steering wheel. Don't do anything until the police officer arrives.
