Egg yolks unhealthy, wtf???

That's just propaganda from the egg white lobby. Damn racists hate the yellow.

Where's Maurice, we need his thoughts on this egg yolk development. I was about to start training and I was going to down 12 eggs in the morning and then go for a run through the down-town streets but I may have to change these plans.

This isn't really news. They say bad things about yolks long time.

Curiously I recall reading that cholesterol is made in your liver and that which you consume may not be that big a deal. I'll try to find the article.

Thanks guys, you never know which scientist is the hero of the day. :search2:
I'll go boil up a dozen eggs right now! :good:

Bingo!!!!!

Now, I'm just throwing this out there, if cholesteral is made in your liver, why is it listed as an "ingredient" on many foods?

Yes, sugar can cause cholesteral (your body stores it as fat, fat contains cholesteral).......so if that is the case, then by the same token, wouldn't egg yolks do the same thing only do it directly (cause your liver to produce or interoduce cholesteral into your bloodstream).

BTW: I know many people who get insane heartburn from eating egg yolks....and why if you look at products that are strictly egg whites, they contain less cholesteral than whole eggs.......

Cholesterol is a method of storing energy. An egg yolk is a repository of energy for the nascent chicken. I actually don't think that cholesterol is listed as an actual ingredient - but in all the listings where they have sodium and fat and cholesterol and starch they list it. It doesn't mean that they've ADDED it, it jsut may be in there due to it's original composition.

I've heard there is good and bad cholesterol, how do they judge this?
