There was a huge police data collecting campaign a couple of years back in Durham along the 401. Police would book appts with escorts, show up, ask them questions. They said they were there to make sure no one was being forced or trafficked.
I have no issue with this, but I do have an issue with the data-mining part of it. The collection of real names, ID's, addresses, escort connections, etc. What is the need to retain that information?
You know that Homeland Security is going to keep all that info, flag ladies who travel into the US, and in a few months, we will be hearing about indies who have been denied entry into the US. What harm are independent ladies doing? None and they know that, but they will stop them anyway.
I was going to sign up for Eros but I did not like the information they required. I was not sending in my DL for them to "verify" me. There was just something off about that to me. I know many said that Eros was/is reputable but you can't stop a search warrant no matter how "reputable" you are. I am thanking my lucky stars right now that I followed my gut on this and didn't use them for advertising.
