Since I have never used Eros and have been stateside quite often for regular mainstream work, I am not too worried. Because of the rules in the US, I have never escorted while there. At all. And when I do travel for work, I have a work phone with proper business contacts. I am just not willing to take the risk of losing the actual job that pays the bills.

If I am traveling personally, I have a second backup phone I use with basically nothing in it expect next of kin contacts, so I switch out my SIM and don't transfer over from my Itunes, so none of my information/pics on my main phone is accessible. I do keep my SPAM email account [the one I give all the companies who like to email you a receipt but then spam the carp out of you]on there for appearances. My private FB and Twitter. It looks like a normally used phone for personal use.

Things like this happen all the time, at every level - Federal, State/Province/ and Municipal. Not everything LE does makes the news. They don't need to raid EROS to figure out at the border you're paying for sex. All this fear mongering for nothing. If you've hobbied regularly for more than a year, or you're an SP who has routinely toured in the US to this point, odds are DHS already has enough information to deny you entry. By the time the industry started to smarten itself up, it was already too late.

Besides, if you hobby and you have 'a lot' to lose by being 'found out' either by LE, family, friends, or your employer, you probably shouldn't be hobbying in the first place. And if you do anyway and shit goes sideways, it's on you and no one else.

I think it is a tragedy the war on prostitution under the guise of trafficking is taking. These zealots are placing the women the claim to "care about" in direct danger. It's disgusting and an infringement on people's rights.

Seems to me that the industry as a whole would e working to stop the trafficking.....Then move to legitimize the profession; as it is in some locales.

I understand and really do sympathize with the SPs who may be on pins and needles right now as a result of the EROS raid. I think the point I was trying to make vis a vis the ladies is that where this type of risk is concerned, that horse has long left the barn.

Being involved in the sex industry has always been a big no-no at the border, this is nothing new. It was always a cat and mouse game between the two sides with the advantage laying with the citizen. Now the pendulum has swung drastically in favor of DHS and CBSA given the advent of much more sophisticated technology and enhanced international collaboration.

So now, people are freaking out because of the EROS raid. As someone who has worked within the US Federal LE framework, I can tell you that if you have been involved regularly in the industry on the provider side for more than a year, odds are the data obtained from the EROS will not tell DHS much more about you than they already knew. So in reality, nothing has really changed.

Where the guys are concerned, the risk is still substantially lower of getting nailed than it is for the ladies, but if you are a regular player and are the owner of a smartphone or laptop or tablet computer and you plan to cross the border with any of them in tow, the chances of you getting nailed are growing exponentially every day. Even guys who think they're being smart by buying vanilla phones or who think they've swept their own regular machines are fooling themselves.
