I believe in me. The rest of you are all figments of my imagination. Some more figmented than others.
Sometimes I ask myself why I get so emotional over figments.
until the new back hoe arrives I will not anger.
In all seriousness, I've been pondering the emotional impact that several of our members have had on my life, even though I've never met them in person.
Belonging to online communities is still a fairly new phenomenon in our society, and industry forums are the only ones I've ever belonged to.
Kind words can come from anywhere.
When people giving of themselves, you can tell.
Very true.
I still cry sometimes when I think about Art Mann, or see one of his posts. When I read all the positive comments that people made about him after he passed away, I marveled at how much of himself he gave to so many online and in person in the industry, and that wasn't counting the many people he must have encountered in his real life.
Same with HOF - he touched so many lives through the industry and the time he spent online.
Sometimes we forget there are real human beings behind the handles.
The good ones show who they actually are between the tomfoolery.
